Hi, I’m Alex! I am a passionate speech language pathologist offering home-based, daycare, and school-based speech and language services throughout central Connecticut and western Massachusetts. I specialize in providing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) services for individuals of all ages with complex communication needs, including comprehensive evaluation, intervention, device trials, insurance funding, and caregiver/school training and consultation. In addition to AAC services, I also provide evaluation and intervention in the areas of early language development, expressive and receptive language, articulation, and functional communication.

 

I fell in love with the specialty of Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) while completing a graduate internship in the Augmentative Communication Program at Boston Children's Hospital. I was fortunate enough to learn from some of the most talented clinicians in the field and apply that knowledge in my practice as a speech language pathologist after graduating from Boston University with my M.S., SLP. I have extensive experience working with individuals with complex communication needs who rely on AAC in both schools and outpatient clinics. I hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and my state-level certifications in Connecticut and Massachusetts.  

 

I am deeply committed to ensuring communication is accessible to all and empowering individuals to communicate naturally and authentically through a child-led, play-based approach.
